Mackenzie is a San Antonio native, and currently a senior at Antonian College Preparatory High School. She is a four-year volleyball letterman, the Vice President of the Spanish National Honor Society, the president and Founder of the Sewn with Love Club, the president of the Interact Service Club, a member of the National Honor Society, a member of Mu Alpha Theta Math Society, and teen leader for many of her school retreats.

Mackenzie is honored to follow in her family’s tradition of being a part of San Antonio Fiesta Royalty. Her grandfather, Antonio Flores, was Rey Feo XLVIII along with her mother who was Reina with him as his Feria Queen in 1998. Her grandmother, Irma Flores, was Fiesta Commission President in 2003. Her uncle and Godfather, Ken Flores, was Rey Feo LXX in 2018 along with her cousin Ariana Flores who was Feria Queen that same year.

Mackenzie has always had a passion for volunteering and recognizes the importance of giving back to her community. Her Freshman through Junior year she received the Gold National Presidential Service Award and has always exceeded her requirements for service hours and is always ready and willing to help even more. Some of her favorite organizations that she has helped by volunteering are Haven for Hope, Snack Pak 4 Kids, and Camp Camp. In addition to school, sports and all her volunteer activities, Mackenzie is also the president of two clubs whose mission is to give back and volunteer.

Mackenzie also understands the importance of higher education. She has not yet selected the college she would like to attend but looks forward to finalizing wherever she will spend her next 4 years continuing her education and playing volleyball at a collegiate level. She plans to pursue a biology degree so she can fulfill her dream of becoming a sports medical doctor.

Mackenzie developed a love of Fiesta at an early age, and as she got older, she wanted to be more involved as a participant. The raising of scholarship funds has given her the opportunity to once again give back and help others. She looks forward to embracing this amazing opportunity to not only give back to her community but to be a role model for all the young children she will visit in schools during her reign. She hopes to spread the message of the importance of continuing your education to all the children she meets and to let them know that by setting goals you can achieve anything you put your mind to. She also hopes to educate her community about the Rey Feo scholarships because she believes that receiving a degree is extremely important to a future filled with hope and opportunities.
