In 2013, the title of Reina Linda was created to act as the female counterpart to the Rey Feo, celebrating the spirit of giving back and raising funds for the Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation. Selected from among San Antonio’s prominent women, participants must raise over $100,000 to earn the title. The Reina Linda exemplifies dedication to education and community service, aligning with the mission of the Rey Feo Consejo Educational Foundation.

Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, Erica LaHood’s story reflects the transformative power of education and community support. As the daughter of a single mother raising three children, Erica’s family faced significant financial challenges. A first-generation college student, Erica became a scholarship recipient, a turning point that allowed her to pursue higher education and achieve her goals.

Graduating from Tuloso-Midway High School at just 16, Erica attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and later completed her Bachelor’s in Business Administration at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. In 2012, she and her brother Ryan launched their first oilfield business, marking the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey.

In 2015, Erica married Marc LaHood, and together they are raising their four children: Emily, Zeke, Adara, and Myla. Beyond her professional and family achievements, Erica serves as vice-chair of the San Antonio Transportation Advisory Board, reflecting her passion for making a positive impact on her community.
