San Antonio, Texas, May 9, 2025 – Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation and Rey Feo Consejo Educational Foundation, two leading organizations committed to advancing education and community service, continue their mission to empower the next generation of civic leaders.
Join the Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation and the Rey Feo Consejo Educational Foundation as they reveal the next civic leader to take on the esteemed role of Rey Feo for Fiesta 2026—a cherished tradition rooted in scholarship, leadership, and community service.
This special press event will also include the official announcement of Reina de la Feria de las Flores 2026 and Reina Linda 2026, continuing the legacy of youth leadership and educational advocacy that has helped shape the future of thousands of San Antonio students.
Since 1947, Rey Feo—Fiesta’s “People’s King”—has led a city-wide initiative to raise scholarship funds for local youth. Thanks to the tireless efforts of former kings, civic leaders, and community supporters, more than $11 million in scholarships has been awarded to over 8,000 students.
The press conference will also include a special invite to join us on May 14th for an unforgettable garden party celebration as we officially Proclaim the Reign of Rey Feo 77. Meet the Ministers of his Court and be part of the exciting launch of his campaign to raise vital scholarship funds for students across San Antonio and the surrounding areas. This festive evening will mark the beginning of a meaningful mission to empower education through tradition and community spirit.
In addition, the Rey Feo Educational Foundation will host its annual Awards Luncheon on Friday, August 1st at the University of the Incarnate Word’s elegant Sky Room. This special event celebrates the academic achievements of our scholarship recipients and recognizes their dedication to higher education. Community leaders, sponsors, and supporters will gather to honor these outstanding students whose hard work and perseverance embody the spirit of the Foundation’s mission to empower the next generation through education.
