Enter Rey Feo Costume Contest to win a $5,000 Trip to Disney World! Calling all young superheroes, princesses, and adventurers!

Eligibility:

1. Contestants must be aged 6 – 16.
2. All participants must register by September 23, 2024, to be eligible for the contest.
3. Each participant must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the event.
4. Limit one entry per person
5. Only individuals registered through Eventbrite will be eligible to participate

Costume Guidelines:

1. Costumes must be superhero-themed.
2. Costumes should be family-friendly and appropriate for all ages.
3. Homemade costumes only. NO PURCHASED, RENTED or PROFESSIONAL PRODUCED COSTUMES WILL BE ALLOWED
4. Costumes must not include any real weapons, dangerous items, or anything that could pose a safety risk.
5. Costumes should not contain any offensive language or imagery.

Contestant Conduct:

1. All participants must exhibit good sportsmanship and respect towards other contestants, judges, and event staff.
2. No inappropriate behavior or language will be tolerated.
3. Contestants must remain in the designated contest area during the event.

Judging Criteria:

1. Creativity: How unique and imaginative is the costume
2. Craftsmanship: How well-made is the costume
3. Presentation: How well does the contestant present their costume on stage
4. Relevance to Theme: How well does the costume represent a superhero

Judging Process:

1. Judges will score each costume based on the criteria mentioned above.
2. Scores from all judges will be combined to determine the winners.
3. The decision of the judges is final.

Prizes: Only One Prize will be awarded

1. Grand Prize: $5,000 Trip to Disney World

Prize is Non-Transferable: The prize is not transferable to any other person or entity. Only the designated winner may claim and use the prize.

Forfeiture: If the winner is unable to use the prize, it will be forfeited. No alternative prize or compensation will be provided.

Travel Requirements: The winner must travel with a parent or legal guardian. Proof of guardianship may be required.

Safety Rules:

1. No running or roughhousing in the contest area.
2. Participants must follow all instructions given by event staff.
3. Any costume accessories that could be considered dangerous must be inspected by event staff before the contest begins.

Registration:

1. All contestants must complete the registration form by September 23
2. Limit 100 participants.
3. A parent or guardian must sign a consent form for each participant.

Additional Information:

1. By entering the contest, participants agree to allow the Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation to use their images and videos for promotional purposes.
2. The event will be held rain or shine.
3. The Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation reserves the right to modify these rules at any time.

The Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation, its affiliates, vendors, members, court, and volunteers are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, incidents, damage to costumes, or any other liabilities that may occur during the Rey Feo Superhero Costume Contest. By participating in the event, all contestants and their guardians acknowledge and accept this disclaimer and agree to hold the Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation and its associated parties harmless from any claims or liabilities that may arise.

• Check-In and Prejudging: All contestants MUST check in and be prejudged.
• Entry Deadline: After check-in has concluded, no entries will be accepted. Contestants who do not appear at check-in will be dropped from the contest.
• Entrants are responsible for their own belongings as we cannot provide a secure area for personal items. Contestants may bring an assistant to help with their belongings.
• Costume Presentation: Costume entries may be simple walk-on-and-pivot displays or may involve a short presentation. Performances are limited to two minutes. Contestants can perform their own speech, drama, song, or other skill, or simply model while our emcee narrates text provided by the contestant. Judging will primarily focus on the costumes.
• Advance Registration: Advance registration is highly recommended. The costume contest is limited to one hundred (100) entries. Once the contest reaches capacity, a wait list will be created. Entries on the waiting list will be admitted to the contest if a registered entry drops out or does not appear at check-in.

By entering the contest, I release, waive, and forever discharge and hold harmless the Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation, its affiliates, vendors, members, court, volunteers, successors, and assigns from any and all liability, claims, demands, and/or causes of action of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, for death, injury, property damage, or loss (“Claims”) which may arise from or be related to my participation in or in connection with the Rey Feo Costume Contest.

I grant and convey unto the Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation all rights, titles, and interests, including all copyrights, in any and all photographic images and all writings or video or audio recordings made or created, in whole or in part, as a part of my participation in or in connection with the Rey Feo Costume Contest.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Rey Feo Superhero Parade and Festival for Education. We’re happy to have you. If you are trying to volunteer with a group or family each member must fill out their own form to be properly onboarded.

After you fill out the form, our volunteer coordination team will reach out to you within the next few weeks to confirm your position for the parade and festival on September 28th, 2024.
