REY FEO LXXV RECEIVES A RECORD $1,000,000 DONATION
Local philanthropist Kym Rapier of Kym’s Angels Foundation launches
The Diamond Jubilee campaign for Air Force Lt. Col John McFadden, Sr.
with the largest donation in the organization’s history
Rey Feo 75 John McFadden and his royal court publicly launched their Diamond Jubilee campaign this morning at the Hotel Contessa downtown with the announcement of a $100,000 donation from Kym’s Angels Foundation. Yolanda Valenzuela, Executive Director at Kym’s Angels was on hand to make the presentation. A short time later, Valenzuela announced the donation would be multiplied tenfold, for a grand total of $1,000,000. This is the largest single monetary donation in the history of the Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation.
El Rey Feo’s principal function is to raise funds for the RFSF; and as the candidate for Rey Feo 75 last year, John raised over $250,000 to qualify for the title, and will continue to raise more money this year. The money raised goes directly to scholarship awards benefiting area youth pursuing either a 2 or 4 year college degree or trade school certification.
